The practice of reverence takes time. As New Yorkers, however, we move so quickly that our surroundings become blurred. Meanwhile, none of us meets the first criterion for reverence, which is to remember that we are not gods.

August 2016 History Spotlight: King’s Literary Society
As students return to campus later this month, or move in for the first time, they will find opportunities to pursue their extracurricular interests through a wide variety of student organizations. One of the earliest student-led organizations at The King’s College was its literary society, founded in the College’s first academic year.

Center for Study of Human Flourishing to Sponsor Discussion of Overcriminalization and Mass Incarceration This Fall
On Thursday, September 29th, Dr. Anthony Bradley—Associate Professor of Religious Studies, Chair of the Program in Religious and Theological Studies, and Director of the Center for the Study of Human Flourishing at The King’s College—joins several of America’s leading criminal law professors at the Princeton Club to discuss the facts of the national prison population and new solutions for sustainable criminal justice reform.

King’s Announces ISI Partnership
The King’s College is pleased to announce its partnership with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) to provide the online, for-credit option for each of six courses in the Intercollegiate Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Program (IPPE), which will provide America’s most intellectually curious students with a valuable framework for seriously encountering the big ideas that undergird a free society.
