Grants
Your FAFSA will determine what grants you qualify for—both from The King’s College and from federal and state government. Grants are need-based and do not need to be repaid.
The King’s Grant
The King’s Grant is awarded to students who demonstrate need. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for this grant. The King’s Grant is awarded at the discretion of the Office of Financial Aid. The grant is reevaluated each year the FAFSA is completed.
Government Grants
By completing the FAFSA, students are eligible to be considered for the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant. Eligibility is determined by information provided on the FAFSA. Students are automatically considered for federal grants; no separate application is required.
TAP helps eligible New York residents pay tuition at approved schools in New York State. Depending on the academic year in which you begin study, an annual TAP award can be up to $5,000. Because TAP is a grant, it does not have to be paid back. For more information and eligibility requirements, visit the TAP website.
The King’s College is participating in the Enhanced Tuition Awards program which provides tuition awards to students who are New York State residents. Recipients will receive $6,000 through a combination of their TAP award, ETA award, and a match from The King’s College. Find more information at Higher Education Services Corporation.
